Life is good, been neglecting my blog here for nearly a year, a conversation with a new friend has got me back to it, and I'm needing an outlet for sharing my thoughts as well as my art and music interests. I find for myself if I keep a blog I am more apt to look for new media to share on it and though I'm always on the lookout, I'm going to make a habit of adding new content to this blog daily. As well as start up my music chart again and post my own creations in the form of art, writing and poetry as well.

My life has been evolving as of late. I've made a conscious effort towards healthy living, eating properly and working on my fitness, already after only a little more than two weeks I am feeling and looking better I think I have lost around 3-5lb so far. I am buying a scale this weekend to keep up with my progress but my size 16 pants are already fitting slightly looser. This has come from PhillyD the Youtube vlogger, you can check out his regular channel's sxephil video's http://www.youtube.com/user/sxephil and vlog http://www.youtube.com/user/PhilipDeFranco here, so yea mad props to him for getting me out of my couchpotato/potato chip loving ways and onto a new healthier and hopefully 125lb/size 10 me.

Another change I'm making is that I proposed to my partner of 9 years, we are having a tiny wedding/reception with mainly family in the fall of 2011. But the big excitement is going to come from our engagement party at Connect Festival 2011 where we are inviting everyone we know and love to come take part in a 4 day "we're getting hitched" extravaganza out in Saskatchewan, next summer.

For our social(for those of you who don't know what that is, its a mixer where we make profits from selling tickets and alcohol to fund a portion of the wedding generally the only place to have them is Manitoba so thats a perk of living in this Province, hooray for a party and money!) it will be in the spring shortly after tax season so we can fund it and raise the monies needed for the Connect Festival partying with friends and the wedding in the fall with family/friends.

Just wanted to share a poem for my first back at it entry here as it seemed fitting.
Believe
Every thing happening in my life right now somehow seems different.
I realise I am in control of my own destiny.
Like I have the power to make what I want to happen, happen.
You feelin' me?
The wait is over.
Free your mind and your ass will follow.
Is this a nightmare?
No a dream.
Somethings just are, but it is you who chooses how these things are seen,
with the minds eye.
See it.
Believe.
I have the ability to feel, act like, be my true self.
Honest to my innermost person.
Soulist.
Listening and speaking with that part.
If you feel that something is right go with it.
I you feel that something is wrong fight it.
Never compromise your true self.
I feel so full of optimism its a nice and needed change.
So many options.
Take me away.
Whatever will be will be.
I keep learning so much about myself and my world.
I've become so strong.
I am beautiful.
I am wicked.
I am good.
I am who I really am.
I am me.
Because I am a mother, a daughter, a sister, a lover, a partner,
because I am a soul.
'I am in awe of the woman I am becoming.'
